This is a one-column template that I use throughout this website.
To use this template as your template for your web building exercise, what you need to do is to delete everything from the first line to the last line.
With that done, what left will be the header and the footer.
But of course, make sure you have any copy of this template as your sample. That allows you to view the tags used in this template.
Once I cleaned up the CSS codes, I shall provide a download to this template.
That saves you the time of creating tags from scratch. What you need to do from there on is to customize it - changing the sizes and colors of the fonts, width and height of each division and so on.
Ideally a template, will, if possible, consist of all the tags you coded in your css files. This makes it easier for you to view its effect and how it affects other tags. However, this is not possible.
If what's written here doesn't make sense to you, don't worry.
You will be able to understand as we go along when I provide a full detail and instruction on designing this template
What's written on this template are meant for intermediate users - those who understand a little bit of HTML and CSS.
Originally these few templates were filled with dummy text. However I discovered that those latin text became the main keywords of this website, which was not what I wanted.
With those latin text taking a more prominent position, the main keywords for this website became secondary keywords. And so I have to fill this template with some instructions to replace the dummy text except for the single-column template with banner.
To create a template we usually use words we cannot read so that we could concentrate on the layout, the structure, the navigation, etc. To do that we use the latin text.
To know about the Lorem Ipsum, just visit this site - Ipsum.com. We'll be going there later to grab some text to fill into our template when we learn to code a page.
