Starising.com is a domain I registered back in 2004 for one reason - to learn HTML. To learn how to create a web page.
I keyed in a few names and starising was the only name available.

The first web was created with the help of a free html editor - Frontpage Express.
Later on, I started leaning CGI, CSS and PHP.
Frontpage Express couldn’t handle CSS so I switched to Dreamweaver MX.
I was on a much slower machine then. Loading any program took ages and it make no sense to learn how ot use a software so that I could learn how to code a web page.

During the DOS days, every coding was done on a notepad - config.sys and autoexec.bat.
And so when I realised that it was possible to code a web page using notepad, I’ve never touched any HTML editor since.

I served as a webmaster for an non-profit organisation of which I am still a member.
I created a web site from scratch and maintain it till Jun’ 08.
What I was proud of, was perhaps the entire web was coded using just a notepad and almost every page was XHTML validated.

And last year, I looked at the club’s blog and I asked myself - How do I make the blog’s layout looked like the website?
If they didn’t look alike, the readers may just felt like they have wandered out to another site.

After 4 months, a new template was created for the Wordpress Blog.

On this website, I shall be talking about converting a web’s template to a Wordpress template.
And converting an existing Wordpress template to a web page.
